I'm a compulsive saver in photoshop, at least when I actually remember to start saving. The neat thing about this, I found, is that if you spend a particularly long amount of time in one photoshop file, you get quite a history of snapshots saved (assuming you've enabled that setting). What's more, if you create an action to save these snapshots out, you get a cool little flipbook. I can't believe I hadn't thought of this before. So, for those curious about the last couple pictures, you can see parts of the eye plants and Thom in progress. Thom actually started as a panel from an old comic page I had. I figured I'd never actually get around to doing the comic, so I decided to blow him up and poke at him a bit more. 'Twas fun, as they say. Well, no. Nobody says that. I could try to make nifty youtube videos of these or something, but eh. I'm a combination of old school and lazy today. |

Every strip is inspiringly beautiful and bursting with imagination, but beyond that, they consistently resonate with profundity without screaming "Look at ME, aren't I profound!?" I tried to write a lot more corny praise, but just go read all of them instead, you won't be sorry. I was hoping to wait for Kazu Kibuishi to get back to it so I could scream about its return, but it's been quite a while already, so I'll just link it again once that happens. |
