Scanlines and Chocolate

Now that class has started, I figured I'd try to make comics much more time consuming than usual. As for today's title, 1) scanlines are fun because they trick you into thinking everything's nifty (hopefully), and 2) it has unfortunately just occurred to me this apartment has little in the way of chocolate. I need to acquire one of those 5 lb. bags of chocolate chips so I can eat them like vitamins. Vitamins that you eat handfuls of at a time. In related news, apparently I'm a woman.

So, this ~~umbrella thief~~ friend of mine recently started a photoblog which seems to have become extremely popular, so I don't know why I'm telling you about it. All I can really say regarding it is that dragonflies are awesome. He's got some sweet shots, so it's certainly worth checking out, and he also tells me it has a lot of sex, so maybe that will get you going.

Also, in addition to donating moolah or blood to the Red Cross, there are a variety of other organizations that you can donate to if you want to help hurricane victims. 'Tis a noble use of your time and money. In other news, if you read The New York Times, you may have noticed that Ralph Lauren seems to be the official sponsor of Hurricane Katrina, America's worst natural disaster in a century. What???

Firstly, holy crap, I'm ranting. Yay me! Secondly, holy crap, I have a job, yay me! Thirdly, holy crap, I wasn't expecting to get one, so I'm frantically looking for a place to live. Seriously, if anyone in Boston (B or C line between Kenmore and Harvard Ave) has a place, . But yay for mike being the w00t artist he is and stuff. Also grats to Kevin Millar for breaking his home run drought.

176. Comic: Copper: Copper is my favorite webcomic. Every strip is inspiringly beautiful and bursting with imagination, but beyond that, they consistently resonate with profundity without screaming "Look at ME, aren't I profound!?" I tried to write a lot more corny praise, but just go read all of them instead, you won't be sorry. I was hoping to wait for Kazu Kibuishi to get back to it so I could scream about its return, but it's been quite a while already, so I'll just link it again once that happens.

170. Flash Game: Fancy Pants. Fancy Pants!!! Made me want to drop everything and make an awesome speedy platformer with simple but incredibly smooth smooth animation with my roommates. Who knows what they'd do, but Kyle already agreed to it. Right Kyle? Study for your midterms to signify "yes."
